I have received Sir R. Macdonald's despatch No. 927 of the 20th June, enclosing a Report from Herbert Smith, Acting Treasurer of Hongkong, on the Inspection performed by him in that capacity, and as Registrar General.
I think that in this case it is not necessary to call for the Colonial Treasurer to furnish further security, but I will leave it to W. Cecil Smith, Acting Colonial Treasurer, to decide what amount of security should be exacted.
